In pursuit of that goal, I’ve done research, strategy, and design projects across a range of issues. I’ve worked with organizations in the public, philanthropic, multilateral, non-profit, and private sectors. There’s always a common thread: channeling my constant curiosity about how and why people do what they do towards a more creative approach to designing products, services, programs, and organizations that improve lives.
Currently, I’m a UX Research Manager at Waymo, the autonomous driving technology company. I can’t share much of that work publicly, so this site only focuses on my past research and design projects. Take a look! I believe there’s no substitute for sharing our stories with one another in real time. If you like what you see, I hope we get to do that soon.
My academic training and early career were steeped in rigorous quantitative approaches to international development, program & policy design, and impact evaluation. Since then, my work has focused on design-led innovation, principally in the social sector. This means that I am uniquely suited to collaborate with diverse multidisciplinary teams; I am as comfortable crafting and implementing a design research plan as I am discussing quasi-experimental methods of impact measurement. I appreciate and thrive on the tensions created by differing methodologies, disciplines, and areas of expertise.
I speak fluent (non-native) Spanish, love thrifting, and once dabbled in improv comedy.
