Scaling Proven Solutions for Farmers
LIVE PROTOTYPING PLAN FOR WIDE-SCALE DELIVERY OF A PROVEN SOLUTION
Evidence Action, a global organization that scales rigorously evaluated approaches to global health and development challenges hired me to help it take a new program to scale. Academic researchers have already demonstrated that better storage options help households safely store maize in order to sell it at higher prices later, during the dry season when supplies are low.
In order to learn what it would take to scale the idea, I conducted a design research sprint in Kenya. I trained a team of local Evidence Action staff and together we conducted interviews, focus groups, product user testing, intercepts, and prototyped with storyboards. I synthesized the research insights to develop a detailed live prototyping plan that the team went on to carry out.
